WW2 British Turtle Helmet With Camouflage Net 1944
As worn Sword Beach/Gold Beach - A superb textbook example of the high rivet MkIII ' Turtle ' helmet as issued to assault formations of the 21st Army Group just prior to the Normandy invasion & seen in wear on the beaches of D-Day on the 6th June 1944.
Finished in rough textured khaki brown paint the liner is VERO maker marked with date '1944' . Chinstrap intact. Fitted with dark brown camouflage net.
It is incredibly difficult to find correct '44 liner dated examples of these helmets today.
