WW1 German Prussian Infantry Officers Field Cap

A heavily worn Prussian Infantry Officers M1910 Field cap totally untouched & as worn in the trenches of WW1.
A large number of different variations of this cap can be encountered some with chinstraps some without. This field officers cap is made of fine field grey wool with red band for infantry & officers cockade to front. The soft leather peak is still supple & malleable very much of the 'crusher' style.
Interior shows blue cotton lining with leatherette sweatband , an illegible name or initials has been scribbled onto the crown.
