WW1 German 13th Infantry Regiment Pickelhaube & Cover , Belt Equipment & Dienstglas Grouping

A fabulous grouping of WW1 German items which were all found together in France some years ago with pickelhaube having matching 13th 'Herwarth von Bittenfeld' infantry regiment (1st Westphalian) No. 13 IR ink markings to that of the green numbered cover.
This whole set was most likely lost or captured in the early 1915 period with the prewar red numbering system having changed to green after August 1914. An early production cover with multi coloured threads the felt numbers are stitched on with hook attachments typical of other ranks issues. Pickelhaube underneath the cover is totally untouched with it quite clear that it has lain undisturbed for many years with buildup of dust & grime underneath its front plate & other furniture. Well marked to the inside it has a depot stamp to underside of rear peak & when one closely examines the interior of the dome several prewar markings dating from 1908 are visible one being that of the 13IR matching the cover. Belt , buckle & pouches are in brown leather with chalky white mud still clearly evident from the battlefield. All pouches still have their spacers in each section. Finally the Dienstglas shown came with the group , there is damage to the bakelite eyepieces.
