Rare WW1 German 'Sappenpanzer' Trench Armour With Equipment Hooks

Rare set of WW1 trench armour with a large amount of its original green finish remaining . This type is often referred to as the third pattern with slots to the rear underarms for placement of a securing strap & belt hooks to chest plate for the carriage of equipment. Design improvements can be seen on this model compared to the first versions with the chest plate becoming narrower towards the arm pits allowing for more arm movement & the medial ridge to centre of chest. All of its webbing straps remain complete with heavy staple stitches running through the eyelets of the rivetted plates . The numeral '2' denotes size & the faint ring stamp for Krupp is visible to lower plate.
Rare item the third pattern being especially difficult to find.
