WW2 British Soldiers Field Shaving Kit Made From Soap Dish
A quirky little personal item of a WW2 'Tommy' being an aluminium soap dish of the period for which he has made a wooden insert containing his metal shaving razor & its blades.
The tin is marked to the lid 'British Made ,Diamond, Pure Aluminium' & there is a number stamped around the circumference of the handle of the razor which may be his service number or simply a patent number ' . There are four packets of blades three of these being English made by WARDONIA & CLOCK & the other by HOWARD from New York.
Fabulous little set & a one off personal item.
