WW2 German Straight Entrenching Tool With Prestoff Carrier Dated 1942

A superb original example of the straight entrenching tool complete with its prestoff & leather 1942 dated carrier.
Wood on the shovel is excellent with no splits or damage & very faint maker code to be seen on the head. Carrier is of black ersatz 'prestoff' ( pressed card ) this being a wartime replacement for leather much in use by this stage of the war. Three letter maker code 'eue' can be seen to the inside of the carrier for the firm 'Otto Reichal' . Clear '300' waffenamt mark visible.
A very nice German combat item.
