WW1 German ' BA XV 1918 ' Entrenching Tool In Carrier
An excellent example of the WW1 German entrenching with 15th Armee Korps marking & date 1918. Comes with brown leather carrier of what appears to be the 19th Infantry Regiment.
A very nice piece of WW1 German soldier field equipment the shovel has the Corps markings & date heat stamped into the shaft with its rivetted construction & turned back corners typical of WW1 German manufacture. The leather carrier is still in its original brown with full length fastening strap designed to hold the bayonet when worn with the belt kit. A stamp to the top of the carrier is partially illegible but with ' 19 IR' still clear.
Good used condition , intact stitching & no woodworm.
