WW2 British St.Johns Ambulance Brigade Helmet 1940
Scarce wartime helmet of the St Johns Ambulance Brigade , a voluntary service which played a vital role on the British Home Front in WW2 & often used to train personnel from other service branches.
Helmet is a factory khaki painted MkII helmet with insignia decal to front & a black & white diamond unit insignia to side with the letter A. Marked to underside of its rim 'ROCO 1940' for the firm Rubery Owen & Co the date '1940' can be seen on the liner cradle.
Showing much heavy wear with webbing chinstrap intact.
