WW2 German Camouflage Luftwaffe Ground Troops Gas Mask Tin

A German gas mask tin which , when examined on the inside , is in the factory blue of the luftwaffe. It has then been camouflage overpainted with a tan ochre base that has subtle green over spray applied in places. This has darkened over the years causing natural age patination. The remains of a gasmask number can still be seen painted to the neck. Painted to the inside lid of the spare lense compartment are the initials of what appear to be ' S.J.' It is interesting to note that a webbing 'LUX' marked equipment strap has been converted into a short belt hook strap , the web pull tab has come away as it weakened with age , this is still present inside the tin.
