WW1 British Small Box Respirator & Haversack

A rare example of the British SBR complete with original WW1 haversack .
The Small Box Respirator entered service in 1916 & was an improvement on the previous PH Hood. Facepiece is in very good order & could mount on a display head with some care. Both lenses are undamaged although the anti mist coating on one lense has patinated over age leaving a yellow tinge to the glass. Khaki hosepipe is supple with no stiffness . Haversack bears the War Department broad arrow although the previous maker stamp & date is now very faint & unreadable. Carry strap intact with leather tab.
A rare item & this example having survived in very good condition.
