WW1 German M1909 Ammunition Pouch With Saxon Inf. Regimental & Corps Markings
An excellent example of the German M1909 fawn leather cartridge pouch with brass fittings. This is a prewar example bearing markings of the 179th Saxon Infantry Regiment ( Western Front throughout WW1 ) , XIX Army Corps & date 1910 .
Typical of the equipment still being worn by the German soldier in the early stages of WW1 this pouch has all of its stitching & rear belt loops intact with all three of its internal charger spacers still present. Manufacturer stamp to reverse of 'Grosse, Dresden' & marked under the middle pouch flap ' BA.XIX.10 ' ( Date 1910 ) ' 179th R ' & ' 9K' for 9th Kompanie.
Excellent condition , fresh to the market & offered completely as found .
