WW1 French NCOs Waterbottle

Scarce WW1 French 2 litre waterbottle in the classic horizon blue colour worn by the 'Poilu' . This piece has a lesser seen leather edging to its side seams very indicative of an NCOs piece .
An example of one of many different types of the 2 litre waterbottle used by French soldiers in the midwar period it has an early high cotton mix blue cover & brown leather lacing. The leather brass buckled carrying strap is intact.
Coming from years of outbuilding storage it is still covered in the dirt & mud as was found with rust to metal in places. The leather carrying strap is actually very good with only some minor stiffness that could be improved.
