WW1 French Tunic Of A Captain, 106th Artillery Regiment
An excellent WW1 French officers tunic of the M1913 style to a Captain of the 106th Artillery Regiment.
In fine light blue cloth typical of the 1915 period it has a standup collar with red collar tabs & embroidered numbers which were in use from November 1914 until April 1915. All of the buttons are of the crossed cannons style for Artillery . Left arm has embroidered chevrons indicating service at the front with reduced rank insignia to each sleeve of three bars for captain.
In overall excellent condition with some light surface only moth nips visible when put to the light , minor loss of wool to overseas chevrons backing.
