WW1 Rare Austro-Hungary Helmet With German Supplied Shell

A rare example of the early Austro -Hungarian helmet with German supplied shell & Austro-Hungarian fittings.
Standard Austro-Hungarian helmets were not available prior to May 1917 with German supplied examples being relatively difficult find now. This piece is marked 'ET.66' & has been painted in the Austrian brown with Austro-Hungarian 1917 liner & chinstrap attachments. The triangular ink stamp particular to these helmets bears the name ' R.St.U.O.CILLI ' . The correct chinstrap for this helmet is still present with some dryness to the leather . Liner has suffered from some rot & damage as pictured.
