WW2 French 'Battle For France' M26 Engineers Adrian Helmet
A French Engineers M26 Adrian helmet as was worn by French troops in the Summer of 1940 during the Battle For France .
Fewer of the specialist branch M26 helmets exist compared to that of the infantry thus making this quite a rare Adrian. Helmet is in the brown factory paint of earlier M26 productions , later issues were in a darker green towards the outbreak of WW2. As is typical with early helmets an M15 Engineer badge has been applied with the blue paint overpainted in khaki to match the rest of the helmet. Liner & chinstrap both present .
Showing heavy wear throughout & more than likely a veteran of the Summer 1940 fighting.
