WW1 French Chausseur Officer M15 Adrian Helmet

Quite a rare Adrian helmet to find an officers Chasseurs helmet with braided leather chinstrap in exceptional condition. .
A helmet that has survived in quite excellent condition it is a post 1916 issue with dark blue paint & second pattern multi construction liner. Officers often distinguished themselves by purchasing braided leather chinstraps which was authorised but not obligatory some choosing to simply wear the standard leather chinstrap that came with the helmet . This is a classic example of the myriad of different styles available in good supple condition. The leather liner is also excellent & shows only minor wear .
