WW1 German S98/05 Bayonet ( Matching Regiment )

A German S98 bayonet with regimental markings to hilt of ' 23.R.8.238.' ( 23rd Regiment , 8th Company , Weapon Number 238 ) .
Back of blade is W cypher marked for Prussia with '06' date. Imperial inspection markings to pommel. Black scabbard is good with regimental marking ' 23.R.7.220 ' ( 23rd Regiment , 7th Company , Weapon Number 220 ) . Although different weapon numbers & Companys the Regiment is the same so most iikely two or several bayonets were captured together in an early action .
Good overall condition with surface age & patina .
