Rare Early WW1 French Cervelliere Protective Skull Cap

A scarce piece of WW1 French history this being a bullet ridden & scarred battlefield recovered example of the French 'Cevelliere' , the metal skull cap worn under the Kepi before the introduction of the Adrian helmet in 1915 .
