WW1 French Infantry M15 Adrian Helmet
A WW1 French infantry Adrian helmet complete with chinstrap , liner & original folded newspaper placed underneath the leather to provide extra insulation against the cold.
Helmet is finished in the early lighter blue colour seen on 1915 produced helmets with a second pattern liner of multi construction brown leather in place to interior. As can be sometimes encountered the French soldier has placed folded newspaper underneath the liner to keep out cold air or to provide a better fit . I have made no attempt to lift the liner or pull out the newspaper.
Offered in the untouched & uncleaned condition that it was found.
