WW1 German Ersatz Felt Pickelhaube Of Prussia
An early ersatz pickelhaube in felt most likely issued in late 1914 when these first started to appear in wear by German frontline troops.
Adorned with its original brass fittings throughout the front plate has a good amount of its original finish with spike & base mount intact & firm. Both of the cockades are 100% original with brass chinstrap posts & brown leather brass buckled chinstrap. Showing signs of overall trench wear the helmet retains a good shape with an undamaged leather liner.
