WW2 German Rifle Grenade Bags 1942

A textbook pair of the rare German rifle grenade bags in green canvas with blue webbing straps connecting the two for wear at sides of the body.
Often used for carrying stick grenades as well as other ammunition or equipment this pair were specifically intended to carry the high explosive Gewehr Sprenggranate which was fired from the K98 rifle discharger cup.
White ink stamped maker mark to one pouch with date '42' . There are internal compartments for the rifle grenade cartridges & much of the original paint remaining to metal fittings.
