WW2 British RASC Officer SD Tunic ( 1939 Pattern )
An early war British Royal Army Service Corps officers SD tunic of barethea wool & of the pattern approved for wear by officers in 1939.
Tunic has lapel badges of the RASC with brass kings crown buttons to front fly & pockets. Rank of Captain to shoulders with three pips but middle pip minus to left shoulder. Interestingly this tunic has belt equipment hooks to waist supported by an internal suspender system similar to the early German style. Coming complete with lanyard it is fully lined with padded shoulders as would have been done by the tailor. There are a few scattered moth nips here & there but a nice overall uninterfered with early war tunic.
