WW2 British Jungle Under Shirt

A shirt which appears to be of Indian origin produced for wear by British troops in the Far East .
Two pleated breast pockets to front & half fly neck opening it is in excellent condition with only one of its thin dished metal buttons minus from front opening. There are some faint ink stampings to interior for which I have attached images , a date of 1942 appears apparent.
