WW1 Imperial German M15 Pickelhaube Of Prussia
A textbook one off example of the M15 Prussian pickelhaube with matching grey metal fittings & original chinstrap intact.
Front plate has never been off of the helmet & shows age correlation well seated into the leather from when it was first put together. The top spike is removeable as is correct for this model of pickelhaube with original national & Prussian cockades to each side. Interior shows a very intact leather lining having original tightening leather lace & a circular ink marked maker to shell. There is a date however the last number is illegible . The size mark of '54' is also visible. With only very minimal age crazing to the shellac & hardly any wear to the liner it is unlikely that this piece was ever issued at all .
