WW2 German Artillery NCOs cap

If there was ever an item that epitomised the expression 'Salty' then I think we have found it !
A German army NCOS cap piped in red for artillery troops showing heavy wear & with a certain jaunty appearance that German NCOs seemed so adept at carrying off. Finished in the familiar ribbed tricot material with green band & square buckled chinstrap the insignia are in Leichtmetall & well mounted to the cap. Interior has a matching rust coloured lining & underside of peak indicating an issue piece . There is an apparently undiscernible rectangular stamp to underside of leather headband. When one examines the rear of the cap & lifts the overhanging cloth a number of moth holes are visible but only really noticeable when closely inspected.
