WW2 British RASC 21st Army Group Battledress Blouse 1943
A British battledress blouse from a Staff Sergeant in the Royal Army Service Corps serving withe the 21st Army Group.
This battledress is a 'War Aid' piece made by the US for Great Britain under the Lend Lease agreement. Label to interior reads 'Blouses Battledress W.A. Size 4 ' & manufacturer name of Barrister Clothing dated 'Jan 4th 1943'. There are embroidered RASC titles , rank insignia for Staff Sergeant & 21st Army Group patches to each arm. The collar is tailored open for wear with shirt & tie as was the fashion later in the war. Medal ribbons show that this man had some considerable war service with France & Germany Star , War Medal ,1939-45 Star & Defence medal. There is one button minus from front fly.
