WW1 French Officers Kepi - Colonel 'Aide-De-Camp'
WW1 French officer kepi with five gold rank braids for Colonel.
In the wartime 'Polo' style this fashionable shape began to be seen in the early stages of WW1. Lacking regimental numbers this high ranking officer would have been an Aide-de-Camp to a General or Minister therefore not affiliated to a specific regiment. With gold chinstrap & plain buttons the leather headband has some stitching minus in places & there are a few moth nips to wool in places.
