WW2 British MkII Steel Helmet 1941

British army MkII helmet finished in the darker khaki paint of early forties issues.
Dated 1941 & marked 'JSS' for Joseph Sankey' to underside of rim the liner cradle is also maker marked & 1941 dated. With the slightly later MKIII chinstrap & typical of those worn in NW Europe before the widespread issue of the MkIII turtle helmet.
