WW2 British RAF Battledress Blouse - January 1943
A totally original badged RAF battledress blouse in the normal colour issued to the army but with blue RAF insignia . These were commonly worn by RAF personnel serving with the 2nd Tactical Air Force in NW Europe the blue issues being more conspicuous than their khaki counterparts.
Blouse is an American made 'War Aid' example these were supplied to Great Britain under the Lend Lease agreement along with many other items of clothing , weapons & equipment. The clothing label gives a contract date of January 1943. Bearing the rank of a Leading Aircraftsman there is also one Good Conduct stripe to left sleeve.
In overall excellent condiiton with just light service wear & one or two pin prick moth holes in places.
