WW2 British Armoured Crews Helmet 1942

Early issue of British Armoured crews helmet still in its original non overpainted black & dated 1942 .
These helmets were issued earlier on in the war before the introduction of the Armoured crew steel helmet & can be difficult to find now in this unpainted format . With bump pad to front & fully intact liner system the leather headband has O coded WD inspectors mark for the year 1942 with a paper label repeating the date '1942' & the size 6 7/8 as well as the manufacturer 'Helmets Ltd' . A short part of the laced chinstrap remains .
