WW1 French 1 Litre Waterbottle 1914/15

A WW1 French waterbottle being of the smaller 1 litre size as was initially issued to front line infantry but soon replaced by the 2 litre version which had originally been reserved for troops serving in Africa.
Covered in cloth of the late 1914 early 1915 Horizon blue it has white nametag sewn to bottom however the details are now washed out. The intact brown leather shoulder strap is still supple & both corks still present.
Rarer than its 2 litre counterpart due to a more limited issue
