WW2 US Tankers Helmet & Original Goggles
A very nice example of the iconic US tankers helmet coming complete with goggles & wireless straps to rear.
Used as of 1941 the tankers helmet was intended as a 'crash' helmet & could accommodate the M1 helmet over the top of it for ballistic protection.
The shell is of US OD coloured vulcanised fibre with ten vent holes & a widened rear neck piece to protect the back of the head. It has side flaps to house the R14 earphones.
Maker marked to the well known firm 'Rawlings' on inside it has all of its fittings & tightening cord to liner. Comes with original wartime US issue Polaroid goggles that have faint soldiers name to strap. Some minor wear & tear with leather flap to right side slightly displaced to top.
A scarce piece to find today.
