WW2 British Infantry Helmet With Scrim Camouflage Netting Typical Normandy!
A classic British infantrymans MkII 'Tommy' helmet with camouflage scrim netting & first field dressing tucked up inside it very typical of the infantryman in Normandy.
Helmet is dated 1938 to chinstrap lugs & has , very typically of army helmets , received a rough textured khaki finish over its earlier smooth paint . A wartime issue net has been applied with hessian strip scrim camouflage added , this then holding a First Field Dressing dated October 1944 at the rear of it. Liner is interestingly double date marked , purely a factory anomaly , one can discern 'BMB 1939' . ( Briggs Motor Bodies ).
Webbing chinstrap intact.
