WW2 British Senior Wardens Helmet 1939

A 100% original Senior Air Raid Wardens helmet his seniority denoted by a single black rank band on white overpaint .
This helmet was originally factory painted in black as can be seen on its underside of rim. A black wool/felt type skull cap has been inserted underneath the rexene tongues serving for insulation against the cold & comfort. Chinstrap retains elasticity & bears the initials ' AEA'.
