WW2 German M40 Two Tone Camouflage Helmet

A two tone German camouflage helmet complete with liner & chinstrap the latter appearing to be have been cut with a knife suggesting removal as a souvenir from a casualty.
Helmet camouflage is in tan & green paint with all original liner retaining pins bearing matching paint. Heavy wear is apparent to the helmet with loss of paint to the crown typical of such combat helmets. I am unable to discern maker initials on the underside rim of the shell due to aged paint however this appears to be dark green denoting army issue. Helmet liner is heavily worn with chinstrap having maker & date of 1941 to pointed end .
Some age overall with flaked paint in areas although this is stable .
