WW2 British Helmet With Royal Artillery GHQ Insignia
An early WW2 British MkII helmet having insignia to side for Royal Artillery General Headquarters . This insignia was worn in foreign theatres such as in NW Europe.
Helmet is dated 1938 to underside of rim with maker initials 'F&L' for the firm 'Fisher & Ludlow' . The 1938 date is repeated to liner cradle . Finished in factory khaki paint the insignia appears to be a red & blue lozenge decal with horizontal white line added underneath it to denote a specific section or area.
In very good condition the early oval dome pad is intact with rexene liner undamaged. Web chinstrap good .
