WW1 Pith Helmet With Regimental Flash Royal Welsh Fusiliers
A WW1 period foreign service pith helmet that has insignia to both sides of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
Interestingly this helmet has had place names written around the inside dome presumably relating to places he served. These include Dahra, Dukra, Egypt , Tuz & Lewis.
Helmet has a very well bounded pugaree affixed to its circumference with red & blue flash of the RWF mounted onto it. There is general age fading with a couple of moth nips to the felt patches on each side. Underside of rim is lined in the classic cotton green with brown leather sweatband laced for size adjustment .
There are signs of heavy wear to the inside with much sweat staining evident .
