WW2 German Camouflage Gas Mask Tin

WW2 German gas mask canister with original three colour camouflage paint in green , tan ochre & red.
On close examination the paint has been handsprayed on very typical of how vehicles & equipment were camouflaged in the 1944 period. The recognisable tan ochre has been applied predominantly as a base colour with green & then red stripes across this forming a very effective pattern . Certain areas of colour on the tin are more apparent than others with age flaking & heavy wear visible throughout. A handpainted number on the neck is the soldiers gas mask number .
