WW2 British RAMC Coloured Forage Cap

A fine coloured forage cap of the Royal Army Medical Corps with brass RAMC cap badge .
Coloured forage caps were popular during the 1930s/WW2 period & were privately purchased by soldiers to enhance their smart appearance. This cap has the correct colours of the Medical Corps with magenta wool top & black skirt. The skirt points are stitched in place so this was never intended to be folded down. There is a a small moth nip to front of cap where the V of the top meets the sides , other than that it is perfect. No size markings but I would estimate it to be no bigger than a Size 55 . ( Size is not guaranteed. )
