Pre WW1 French Gendarmerie Kepi

Interesting French Kepi from the late 1800s to a member of the Gendarmerie ( Military Police ).
This style predates that of the Foulard with a higher profile at its rear section. In the classic dark blue wool of these troops with white flaming grenade of the Gendarmes its interior is black leatherette lined.
A rare piece that has moth however an interesting & historical piece of headgear from the later French Empire.
