Pre WW1 French Engineers Officer Cadet Kepi

Classic early pre WW1 kepi for an Engineers cadet officer who would have almost certainly gone on to fight in the Great war.
Black wool construction with engineers ( Breastplate) chinstrap buttons to each side & Hungarian officers knot to crown. Green leather undersided peak with officers gilt chinstrap intact. Interior lining in black satin. His cadet status indicated by the 'galon d'elite' gilt band around its circumference .
Overall condition nice display piece for an early kepi, has a few moth holes with an area of braid stitching loose to top of crown , peak firm.
