WW1 German Mounted Artillery Officers Pickelhaube Of Prussia
Scarce Artillery officers 'Kugelhelme' of Prussia with convex chinscales denoting this being from that of a mounted artillery regiment .
A fine quality piece the front plate still retains much of its impressive gilt finish with brass fittings displaying fine age patina which matches throughout. The ball top denoting artillery ( hence the name Kugelhelme ) is removeable as shown & the chinscales denote mounted troops being convex rather than flat . The leather finish of the helmet is good showing only very fine correlating age to surface in places. Interior has a fine quality leather sweatband with silk crown , a handwritten '59' can be seen to the dome.
