WW2 Japanese 'Soldiers Personal Flag

Interesting Japanese Personal/Prayer flag in high quality silk & otherwise known as the 'meatball' flag.
These were flags which a soldier's family and friends would sign with good luck messages and patriotic slogans before a soldier left for the front. He would carry this with him to bring good luck in battle.
Often a very much souvenired item by Allied troops due to its iconic desirability this bringback example is in worn condition & most likely hung from a tank or other vehicle by troops of the Imperial German army.
Symbolic of the heavy fighting in which the Japanese were committed.
