WW1 German M17 Stripe Camouflage Helmet

WW1 German M17 helmet with camouflage colours effected in a striped pattern of tan ochre , light green & brown .
Interesting variant of the myriad of camouflage schemes thick hand applied brush strokes visible in the paint when closely examined. Now having darkened with age & natural patination the tan appears more orange with the brown colour only very subtly applied in between segments. Underside of shell gives maker & size of 'Si66' (Silesia) with both steel chinstrap buckles still in situ. Traces of a name to rear underside of rim. With steel liner band the size mark '64' can be seen when front pad lifted along with what looks like 'FCB18' next to it. All three of the internal cushions are present within their chromed leather holders.
Nice honest helmet , uncleaned & straight from Europe.
