WW1 French 2L 'Poilu' Waterbottle

A French 1915 waterbottle coming from the Aisne area some years ago.
Offered completely as found with cork stopper that has been period fitted with a chain , much more durable than its string counterpart. Multiple sections of horizon blue cloth have been used for its cover these being off cuts from uniform manufacture . Nothing went to waste as the French army toiled on against the German attacks at places such as Verdun & the rest of the Western Front.
Barn find condition , carry strap in two parts.
