WW1 US M1912 Infantry 'Doughboy' Campaign Hat

A WW1 American campaign hat of the M1912 model with faded red hat cord for Artillery.
In the iconic 'Montana' style the hat is pierced by four ventilation eyelets with leather sweatband & five rows of stitching around brim to strregthen it. The underside still has some Quartermaster ink markings now mostly illegible. Remains of size stamp '6 7/8' . There is also a marking for 'Philadelphia Depot' .
Overall excellent condition with some hardly noticeable moth tracks visible upon close examination.
