WW2 British '25 Pattern RAF Pistol Belt Set With Rare Automatic Pistol Magazine Pouch
A set of blue RAF '25 pattern webbing that has always been together with the rare automatic pistol double magazine pouch still fitted.
PiIots of the Royal Flying Corps & later the RAF often opted to carry the M1911 Colt .45 automatic pistol hence the need for a magazine pouch ( Also '25 Patt ) to service this requirement. Both belt & pistol holster have matching contract numbers & dates with AM contract number to double mag pouch & 1940 date. The '25 Patt holster differs from the later '37 patt by having only two vertical belt hooks to its reverse side & an external cleaning rod sleeve also visible to the rear. The '25 Patt belt differs from the '37 Patt by lacking the two buckles at its rear.
