WW2 British 46th Division REME Battledress 1944
A 1944 dated battledress of a sergeant in the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers ( REME ) serving in the 46th Infantry Division.
A battledress with all of its originally sewn badges still remaining the Div patches of the 46th Inf. surmount the blue , yellow & red arm of service strips with sergeant rank strips under each. With clothing label still remaining this bears the date 1944 & maker ' L.Beenstock Ltd ' Size is 9. The WD inspection code is prefixed 'M' for the year 1944. Medal ribbons on left breast show him to be a veteran of WW1 & the North African Campaign serving with the 1st Army as denoted by the numeral 1 on its ribbon. Five overseas service chevrons to lower right sleeve.
In very good condition I can only find a couple of tiny prick sizedmoth holes when closely inspected.
