WW1 US 2nd Infantry Division Tunic - German Made Patch
An example of the WW1 US M17 tunic with rare German made handpainted 2nd Infantry Division patch to left sleeve.
This four pocket 1917 model was worn as standard by US troops in the WW1 period this example still having the rare 2nd infantry patch German made & handpainted during the occupation period. Interior of tunic has black cotton lining bearing March 1918 contract label. A red chevron on left sleeve denotes he had an honourable discharge & the two khaki stripes represent one year of active service i,e. six months each.
Overall very good condition with all buttons present.
