WW1 British Officers 1902 Pattern Cuff Rank Tunic - West Kent Regiment
A scarce 1902 pattern cuff rank officers tunic this the universal service dress until replaced by the 1912 pattern.
Made from khaki serge wool this early pattern had a waistband concealing a ticket pocket & a central pleat running all the way down its back. With standup collar it had regimental buttons & collar dogs on this example both for the Royal West Kents. Shoulder straps were of twisted khaki cord these being of the 1904 pattern. Buttons are of the Royal West Kent regiment also. Brass equipment hooks to rear. Medal ribbons to left breast.
A very nice worn tunic there are some moth nibbles to bottom of each pocket from prolonged attic storage & a small mouse bite to left sleeve.
